Vietnam Visa Excemptions

Citizens of the following countries are exempted from applying a 15-day or 30-day tourist visa for entry into all international ports in Vietnam:

Joe Louis Thai Puppet Troupe won international competition

The Joe Louis Theatre’s 30-member puppet troupe had one the award for best traditional performance at the World Festival of Puppet Art 2006.

The troupe, which performs with traditional Thai small puppets, beat 42 entries from all over the world!

The troupe’s 50-minute performance at the competition was “The Myth of Rahu and Luna Eclipse” which has been showcased at the Joe Louis Theatre in Bangkok since April 01 2006.

What makes the Thai puppetry performance unique is the way the puppeteers control the puppets. Each puppet is controlled by 3 puppeteers, who also appear on stage and perform a “Khon” Thai classical dance along with the figurine to create a lifelike effect.

The award-winning show can be seen at the Joe Louis Theatre, Suan Lum Night Bazaar at 7.30 p.m. daily.
